AEV Salta - Scratched while being Installed

I just picked up new AEV Salta wheels and dropped them off to have new tires installed. All 5 wheels have similar scratches that are cut into the paint. I noticed after I got home and it's pretty disappointing. I realize I'll scratch them at some point, but I'd love to hear thoughts.

id go straight back to the shop that installed them. if they mounted them face up, that looks like where the arm for the tire machine rides on to slip the tire over the wheel. usually there is a protective boot on the arm. or they should have reverse mounted them to insure the rim is not damaged. depends on the machine used though... in any case id go back to the shop. hopefully it was a bigger shop...

also...just a word of advice--- always check over your car when u get service done. from a porter to a tech to another porter. alot of issues can happen is usually cramped parking lots/shops... especially around where work was done, u have alot better chance of them taking care of it with no issues if notified before you leave. afterwards they can argue u did it going through mcdonalds or anything.

Dealer did exact same thing to my G8 GXP wheels when I had the tires replaced. Took it back and got 4 new rims on their dime. No excuse for that.

I would be upset even tho my rims take a beating. I want to be the one to scratch them the first time.

I just purchased some Saltas as a part of a new build, so I've never actually seen them in person yet. However, the shop just posted some progress pics on their website. Does this spare wheel look scratched, or is that wheel grease? It would be a bummer to get brand new wheels that were already scratched.

Unacceptable, but we're driving Jeeps not G-Wagons! Rims can also be touched up by hand, and you won't see the damage. Add a little rock rash, and call it good.

I can't speak for the OP, but the ones on my pic were truly just mounting grease; comes off in the wash.
