Anyone have a preference either way?

As I understand it, alloy rims are aluminum. They terms are used interchangeably in the wheel industry.

The choice is most often steel or aluminum. Steel is cheap and heavy, alloy is light and more expensive.

Each have advantages and disadvantages. Alloy generally cost more, don't rust and are lighter. Once an alloy is damaged badly it's pretty much shot ( even though they're not fragile by any means). Damage the lip of a steel, you can often beat it with a hammer so it can still at least function.

if my jeep is going to be a regular road vehicle 90% of the time, it seems like I want to go with alloy because of the light weight and (potential) better fuel efficiency.
