Any experience with Mickey Thompson MTZ's?

Just looking for any direct experience with Mickey Thompson MTZ Mud Terrains. 4WheelParts has a ridiculous sale right now. $1000 for 5 tires with $100 mail in.

I have 35" Goodyear MT/R's that came with the jeep. I love them, the sidewalk has held up phenomenally. Tires are at 9 to 10/32's so it's getting on that time. Normally I'd go with MT/R's again, but availability is very low to non-existent in Phoenix.

My previous vehicle, a Tacoma 4x4 had 32" BF Goodrich KO2 AT's and I went to KM2's and never looked back. Excellent tread life. Did well anywhere they went.

I'm not above making a move to the Mickeys, I've just never run them. I heard they're USA made. I'll be doing a lot of city and highway driving. Wind noise is always an issue because of my soft top, so road noise is not a concern. I'll be moving to St Thomas, Virgin Islands in a year for what it's worth. So 50% of my driving will be off road. Any experience would be appreciated.

MTZ tires have a well proven record for being extremely tough tires. When rotated on a regularly they have a good 40K life span.

I'm on my 2 second set. They an excellent tire! They flex great, hook up on everything and have a bombproof sidewall. I siped the last set for better ice/packed snow traction. Here are some videos...they speak more to the tire than I can.

Jesus. That's a review. Nice protection for your spare, btw. Blanca is a beautiful area. I used to live in Summit, but spent a lot of time in Park County and south near Wolf Creek, Pagosa and Alamosa, etc.
