any significant downside to E rated tires?

2014 JKUR. The size tire I want, 275 70 R17, is only readily available in E rated options. Is there a real world downside to this? I know they are heavier and I don't so much mind a .5 mpg loss, but I really don't want a big downgrade in ride quality. I see plenty of Jeeps with E rated tires in parking lots and what not, and most of those guys probably dont even know what that means. Is it really that big of a downside?

They ride like bricks but you can adjust you air pressure to account for that to some degree. I personally don't mind since I'd rather have the tougher side walls off road.

I have been running E rated toyos on my 2014 jkur for the last 36000 miles and they ride great. The problem some people have is they pump them up like they are in a 1 ton truck. run 28psi and you will be fine.

I have 35x12.5x17 E Rated Nittos on my 2 door jk. As said, run them at 28 psi and they ride great.
