anyone running 275/70/18 tires?

I am in serious need of some for our JKU sahara. Anyone running 275/70/18 on their rig? Any rubbing with this size tire, and did you need to beef up your axles for the added weight. Plans are for a small lift down the road, but tires are needed first. We are planning on keeping the stock 18 wheels. Pics are always welcome! Thanks in advance, Jeff

I just got a set of Wrangler MTR with Kevlar in that size. I have a 2010 JKU Sahara. I have had them 2 weeks and have put 350 miles on them. I think they are great. They really soak up the small bumps and seams in the road that would usually bump enough to get my attention. My wife says she likes riding in the Jeep more now too! I do have a 2.5/3" lift on it. I have no issues with rubbing. I got the $100 Tread lightly discount and $160 rebate for putting them on the Goodyear card. I'll pay off when I get the bill. Sorry no pics, I'm doing this from my phone and can't figure out how to post. The MTRs are a bit more expensive but so far I am really happy.

275/70R18 should work great on your JKU. This tire is about 1" taller and just over 3/4" wider than your stock tire. You may get a little rubbing with stock wheels and stock suspension but you'd have to test fit to know for sure. Tires are like shoes, some run larger than others so the chances of rubbing may come down to the actual tire you choose.
