Benefits of 33x10.50" tire?

Ok so I'm going to be getting a new TJ with in a month and I currently have a 97' SE and moving up to the sport or even better a rubi ... .. So anyways I am going to be getting 33" duratracs but I am trying to figure out the width size. I plan on put in a 8.8 axel in after summer but in the mean time I don't want to put to much strain on the axels. It's my DD and 90% road and 10% off road and we do get alot of snow up here in CT so I am thinking that the skinnier tire would be better for hat reason.
What do you guys think?

Do you have a lift? if you do a 10.5 wide will fit fine on the stock rims i used to run them.

A narrower tire will cut down into the snow and mud better. The wider the tire, the more it will float ontop of snow and mud. In my opinion, 10.5 inch wide tires are a good balance.

10.5 are good, but if you plan on adding bumpers armour and other heavy stuff you can go with the 12 because it will be about the same proportionally as a stock jeep on 10.5 s goodluck! and you will need a small lift or BL

Good luck finding 33x10.5's...... Don't think GY makes one, BFG does but they're on national backorder for ever.... someone else makes them, but I don't remember who...

Yep the duratracs don't have a 33x10.5 size. You might be able to find some 32" rubi take offs but I doubt it. Goodluck finding some!
