Beware Bassett Racing Wheels

Basically avoid steel wheels from Bassett Racing. They offer a build to order steel wheel with a beadlock option for offroading.

I ordered a set 15x12 with my choice of offset. Upon arrival I was disappointed to find that the wheels were stuffed into a 15x15" box with no packaging, UPS did not handle these things with care. I paid an extra 25$ per wheel for the added packipackaging service from Bassett.

Upon inspection I discovered that the the powder coat finish was sub par with what appeared to be some kind of white contamination.

They tig weld the wheel together and the welds are just horrible. The wheel had all sorts of weld splatter all over.

Took the wheels to a local shop that specializes in wheel repair. Upon inspection they deemed the wheel structurally unsound. Run out was way out and out of round among the wheels serious problems. They warned me not to put this wheel on the jeep even for offroading only.

Called up [email protected] His response was, this is a cheap wheel for off-road racing, what do you expect. Be warned stay away from them.

What size tire are you running to justify a 15" X 12" wide rim?
