The tread looks almost the same as the old ones. I read that these have 20% tougher sidewalls (always nice to a point) and longer tread life (okay but will it slip more on rocks with a harder compound?) but I wish they had actually modified the tread design a bit. Still, nice to see an old favorite resurrected a bit. It has fallen out of favor when compared to 5+ years ago.

Hmmm 325/65/18 is listed taller than the 35x12.5. Not to mention 36lbs weight? Same with the 35/12.5/17? Must be a typo.

Surprising that after all these years and continuing with the new model that the BFG All-Terrain isn't offered in the stock 255/75/17 size for Wranglers. There is demand for that. Goodyear apparently listened to demand and now make the Duratrac in stock Wrangler sizes. I'm sure BFG would sell a ton of them.

They ride nicely but maybe just a tough rougher than the stock Bridgestone.

As far as running true to spec, I'm not sure. We haven't physically measured any of the sizes. Typically speaking, most tire models don't measure out to the specified overall diameter when measuring from the top of the tire to the bottom of the tire. BFG specifies the following on their site:

"The sizes shown are average design values for tires measured on specified measuring rim widths. Some tires may vary from this value by +/-3% of the section height (affecting overall diameter), and +/-4% of the section width."
Is there any talk of what the pricing will be for these tires compared to the old KOs?

I noticed something else odd about the KO2 that I hadn't previously noticed while at the tire shop today. The rim protection bead that was on the KO...it's gone now. Why the crap would they do that? That was actually the only useful feature of the tire, besides maybe the 3-ply sidewall. And they seem to have ditched that feature. Why?

No plans for 255/75R17

The 255/75R17 is not currently listed in the first two phases but we imagine BFG will likely offer the KO2 in this size eventually.
Email received from BFG on 5/29/15:

In regards to the email you sent stating:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Since you prominently feature the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in your advertising, will you be offering your new KO2 tire in the factory Rubicon/Sport S size of 255/75R17? Thanks.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We have no plans this year to launch the KO2 in the 255/75R17 size.

We will forward your request to the marketing group for review for the requested size.

We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing BFGoodrich.

It is our goal to ensure that your issue has been resolved or your question answered to your satisfaction. If we can assist you further, please respond to this email or call us at 1-877-788-8899 (toll free) between 8:00AM and 8:00PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday or between 8:30AM and 4:30PM Eastern Time on Saturday.

Very disappointed. It looks like the Sahara and the 255/70R18 will be the only OEM Wrangler size available, even if it's D load rated...

We do not have pricing for the sizes coming out this October. We'll likely have this information sometime around August.

How about load range info? I see two 315 70 r17 fingers crossed one of them is a c load range. I'm expecting D considering the 35x12.5 r17 is an E.

The 315/70R-17 KO2 will be 10-ply rated (LR-E).

56 pounds for that 265/70/18?

That is way too heavy for me.

Bummer.

Just got these. Much quieter and softer on the road at the same PSI when compared to the Falken Rocky Mtns I had. Which seems odd, as these are E's and I think those were C's. Itching to go take them off road. Hopefully they do better with the sidewall than the Falken's who met an untimely death due to "tree-stump intrusion"

Discount tire price matched Costco for 1025 or so for 5 265 75/16's. Oh, and they gave me 25 for more spare as it had only 500 miles and I had not gone a 5-tire rotation.
