Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP LT315/70R17 snow performance

I was wondering if anyone has run the Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP tires (specifically the LT315/70R17) in winter and how they performed.

I'm doing some other repairs on the Wrangler at the moment so money is a bit stretched for things like winter tires but if the EXPs are fine in snow/ice then I'll forgo worrying about that. I ran last winter with KO2s and had no issues but these are obviously not the same tires.

Not what you're asking for, but if you're looking for a winter weather tire, might I suggest looking into the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W? It is 3PMS rated and seems decently praised on it's wet road and snowy road grip/performance, here on the forum. I don't know what else you're planning to do with your Jeep, but for on the road performance the Falkens should be a great tire to cover the wet/winter needs.

I just put on a set and they are very smooth and quiet, and have great wet traction. Excited to see what happens when winter comes around.

Ironically that Falken tire was exactly what I was going to get when I bought my 35s a few months ago but they weren't in stock so they offered me instead a screaming deal on the Dick Cepeks (which I've been happy with -- at least in summer driving and mid-level rock crawling). Good to hear, though, that the Falkens are a good tire.
