Duratrac P225/75R16 no longer made?

I know, long time no post (Years even). But I’ve been busy adding to my “getting things stuck in places people never imaged list”...

So I have a 2013 (or as my grandfather would have called it a late model 2012) Jeep Wrangler Sport Two Door.

It came with stock Goodyear Wrangler ST. They are 30” that measure 29”, and overall I’ve been pretty happy with the balance they gave me. They were good on road, and decent enough off road that my jeep has only had to be rescued while doing actual honest to God jeeping twice. Not bad for five years.

As the trails up here are getting torn up, ruts getting deeper, things in general getting muddier, and I need new tires because of the wear on the old ones I wanted to upgrade to 31 or 33’s. Researching it, Duratrac’s keep coming up in searches (even here) as being the best balance for price, performance (on road off road) look, etc.

Thing is, all those threads are several years old and when I go to Goodyear.com search up the tires, they tell me “Denied peasant! You must have P255/75R17’s to be worthy of our tires”.

So what’s going on here? Did Goodyear make a 75R/16 once upon a time and now they don’t? Or do they make a 75R/16 for light trucks/suv’s that can be run on on my wheels but they don’t recommend it for some reason? Or should I be looking at another tire (or upgrading my wheels to 17)?

Goodyear still builds their DuraTrac in the optional O.E. 225/75R-16 size. I'm not sure what was going on with Goodyear's site, but as noted above, they are still in production

Details: LT225/75R-16 LR-E Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac | Discount Tire Direct

Never input your jeep info at tire sites, they will limit the tire selection, due to the size that is recommended by the manufacture. Just browse the tire catalogs an to see all the sizes available.
