Duratracs: 315 vs 35x12.5

Thanks to another thread, I just realized that Goodyear came out with a 35x12.5 Duratrac. Does anybody have a set of these yet??? Curious about the real life actual size/dimensions of this tire and how it compares to the 315 series duratracs.

According to specs on website:
315 diameter = 34.4"
35x12.5 diameter = 34.8"

315 width = 12.7"
35x12.5 width = 12.5"

315 weight = 60lbs
35x12.5 weight = 66lbs

315 load range = D
35x12.5 load range = E

315 price = $306
35x12.5 price = $296

Big differences are that the 35x12.5s are load range E and a little heavier but they are 10 dollars cheaper than the 315s. I love my duras. I rotate them every 4k miles and have roughly 26k miles or so on them. It appears they will last for another 26k if not more. When it comes time for new tires it will be hard for me to steer away from duras and will probably be getting another set of these. With that being said, everyone that owns duratracs knows that the 315s are barely a 34" tire let alone a true 35 so I'm hoping that these 35x12.5s may run a little closer to a 35. We need real life info on the size of these bad boys...I apologize if this is already being discussed somewhere on this forum but I haven't come across anything yet.

Also, I gathered specs and info for 315/70/17 and 35x12.5x17 because I have 17" wheels. Specs may differ for other rim sizes.

Going by the specs you listed alone, I'd personally go for the 315 D load range ones for a Jeep. Probably a slightly better ride, very minimal price difference...

No, but I ran the 315/70/17 Duratrac on our '16 Willys. They measured 33.75" on the Jeep (2 door) at 28 PSI. Would have sworn they were an E rating....???...????

Anywho, good luck
