Getting black rims clean?

bought some Meguire's all purpose wheel cleaner and read the back when i got home. Said do not use on colored rims or aftermarket rims. I would still use it on aftermarket rims because I do not see what that would do. However, my rims are black. What do you use to get matte black rims clean?

All any wheels need is a little soap and water and agitation. Wheel cleaners usually contain some caustic substances that will destroy the finish/polish on your wheels.. Return it, and stick to the regular car wash soap in the bucket. Black wheels are either painted or powder coated. Treat them as such.

Yep soap, water, a sponge, and my finger do the trick usually.

If you give them a stern look with a raised eyebrow and hands on hips the dirt usually just slides off the wheels. That's how I do it.
