Goodyear Duractrac Tires vs. BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires

Ok - I know this isn't a fair comparison because one is an A/T tire and the other is a Mud tire... but here's my experience:

I have had the BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires on my Rubi and they lasted 44,000 miles!! I'm pretty impressed that they lasted this long. Did they make a lot of road noise. Yep. Did I mind? No. Did they perform well off road? Yes. Did they perform well in the snow? No.

So I came to this forum and looked for suggestions and found the Duratrac recommended over and over again. I just had them installed (because I'm off roading less and less and on the highway a lot more).

Guys -I love the Goodyear Duratracs! They have an aggressive look - something I didn't want to sacrifice and they are really quiet. I'm looking forward to our first snow to see how they perform. So far, Love Em... How about you guys?

Glad to hear, Ive had 2 sets of Duratrac's on my 05' LJ and couldn't be happier. Not a ton of off roading on them these days but these do great in the sand down here in Florida. Running Nitto Ride Grapplers on my JKU and have been REALLY impressed with them thus far (6k miles in)

I love the Duratracs. I can only speak to their 10 ply tire, and have had 3 sets of them on my 2500s. I currently have a set on my work truck that are over 50K, now.

The last set I had on my 2500 went 60K, when I traded the truck. I think I could have gotten 70K easily.

I went with Nitto Terra G2s on my new truck, and they are wearing like iron, too. I think I am going back to the Dtracs, though. I do love the look!

The new Nitto Ridge Grappler is pretty sexy. Check it out, too
