GY Duratracs LT315/70R17 on 17" XD Addicts

Just installed these rims/tires with a Teraflex 2.5" Coil lift, BDS exhaust extensions along with a pinch seam trim on my 2012.

Wow!

Love the setup!

I've been debating between the 285/70R17 and 315/70R17 DuraTracs

Any power/MPG loss with those big boys?

Thanks! Virtually no power loss with 3.73's. I'm running 2,000 rpms @ 65 with this set vs. 2,150 rpms @ 65 mph with the factory Sahara rims/tires. I lost between 1-3 mpg depending how I drive...so I went from 19 mpg to 16-18 mpg on average 80% highway/20% city.

Looks awsome....ive been researching tires as i first wanted the nitto trail grapplers and was also looking at the BFG km2s but the GY duratracs are very popular in the jeep "family" and they are lookin good

You might be able to get away with the factory tire mount for a 33" since our stock tires are 32".

If not get the Smittybilt. It's pretty sturdy, priced right and easy to install and has 3 adjustable positions, depending on your tire size and it also moves the 3rd brake light at the same time to keep it visible and legal.

The Smittybilt unit itself does not come with a lock but has provision holes to attach a lock.

You have to add a cable lock and/or an adjustable style shackle padlock made by Brinks or Master.

I just took a pnuematic cut off wheel & cut mine off. Then I packed the open seam with black silicone & painted the bare metal black. Easiest Mod I ever did, other than flipping my rear view mirror, lol.

Your Jeep pics are a similar snap shot to the vision I have for my Jeep that's on order, same color as mine albeit mine's a Sport model. I was going to go with MB72s, but changed my mind after seeing your Sahara. I sent DTD a pm for a quote on 285/70R17 GY DTs mounted on 17x9 XD Addicts today. Nice rig!

Ordered the same lift today but stumbled on the wheels when I had I key in the offset... Are yours -12mm or +18? Are you running wheel spacers? And how much or far do the tires extend beyond the flares.
Thanks for your time and input, appreciate it!
