How do i make my jeeps tires look wider?

My buddy told me to put 2 inch spacers on mine but i read about them i heard good and bad things but not anything on here. Im not really good with wheel dimensions either so hope someone can help. I have a 3 inch lift with 31 inch tires. Do i buy New wheels?

You could make the stance of your jeep look wider if you install a new set of wheels with a lower backspace (or lower offset). If you want the tire itself to be wider you'd need to buy a wider tire.

2" is kinda big for spacers. New wheels would be a better option, IMO. 4.5" or less bs will set them out just about perfect.

I <3 Cragar Soft 8's They've got 4 in of backspacing and they made my Jeep look much meaner and gave it a very nice, wider stance. I just said mean and nice in the same sentence?

4.0 is perfect to my eyes but if you like a wider stance then a 3.5 would be nice.
