How much wear and tear do 33x12.50s put on the Jeep?

Just wondering so I can make the best tire decision possible.

Thanks!

Any bigger tire is going to cause more stress on the drivetrain. Additionally, some 33s are much heavier than others. My old 33x12x15 TSL bias swampers we probably 20 pounds heavier a piece than my 35s that I'm running now. Generally a beefier tire is going to be better on the trails.

That said, 33s are a really popular size for lifted jeeps and people run them for years.

Okay cool. I was looking at 33x12.5x15 BFG All Terrains or Duratracs. I'll probably have to buy new rims for the wider tire too..

I'm just weary about going with 33x12.5 tires because my cousin had to replace bearings in the dana 30 quite a few times because they kept wearing out. But he also wheels hard. The local mechanic who was supposed to do an alignment told him that his Jeep was not fit for road use because so much stuff was messed up and loose underneath lol.
