Input Requested | NEW Level 8 Guardian Finish

Discount Tire needs your assistance!

As some of you may have noticed, the matte black and matte bronze Level 8 Guardian has been discontinued. However, we have the opportunity to bring this model back to life under a new gloss black with ball cut machined windows finish (pictured below).

What we want to know from you is:

  • What do you think of the gloss black with ball cut machined windows?
  • Is this a model you would purchase for your vehicle?
  • What year and model Wrangler do you own?
  • From the sizes noted below, which would you prefer for your vehicle?

-16x8.5 ET-6
-16x8.5 ET+18

-17x8.5 ET-6
-17x8.5 ET+18
-17x8.5 ET+25

-18x9 ET+25

-20x9 ET0

Level 8 Guardian | Gloss Black with Ball Cut Machined Windows

We appreciate any and all feedback!

Not really feeling that rim at all but the gloss black/machined goes well together.
No
2015 JKU
17x8.5 -6

I'd be all in for a Level 8 MK6 for a Jeep though, only seen them with 6 lugs. The bronze looks awesome, black too.

Not really a fan of the gloss black. Perhaps a more aggressive tire would help?
Not likely to purchase.
2010 JKU
Have 15's now but will likely go somewhere in the 17" family next.

Thanks for sharing these on here.

What do you think of the gloss black with ball cut machined windows?

Maybe its just the picture but it looks more like a matte black than gloss, either way personally I think the machined windows give a really nice contrast to the all black, my next set is either going to be machined or have a machined lip or something to break up the all black some (seems everyone and their brother goes all black). Gloss is easier to clean as well which is nice.

Is this a model you would purchase for your vehicle?

It would certainly be in the running if the price were right. Id rock them happily.

What year and model Wrangler do you own?

2012 2 door JK

From the sizes noted below, which would you prefer for your vehicle?

I would go 17's and I like that they are 8.5 wide instead of 9. I went 16's last time and wish I would have just gone with 17s.

Overall, I like them! Honestly if you got rid of the small "bolts" around the edge i would like it better, they just seem unnecessary, nonfunctional, and not needed to enhance the look of the wheel (my opinion of course).
