I have around 26k miles on a set of 285/70/17 trail hogs. They are wearing just fine although the siping in the center treads are pretty much gone. These tires have been great in every test I've tried....sand, snow, ice, wet roads, rocks, moderate mud.....they just grip.
I'm running 28psi and rotate every 5k

Not the trail hogs, but I have purchased the mud hogs twice and they have been great each time. This time I kind of wish I would have went with the trail hogs as I don't really need the mud terrain anymore.
