Need all terrains

Buying my sister all terrains for her birthday. What does WF suggest? Offroad usage = 2 times a year if her jeep is lucky. So they need to stick to pavement.

Don't know what size rims she's got, or even what YM Jeep, but Goodyear DuraTracs or Kelly Safari TSR's would be my choice.

The DT's are probably the best AT tire out there...lightweight, siped, awesome in snow (I know, I'm from TX ), rain and mud. Properly aired and rotated, they'll last for 50K miles. Plus they look mean.

The Kelly's are very similar to the DT's (Goodyear owns Kelly), but cheaper, since Kelly isn't the flagship company.

I've got the DuraTracs on mine. Here's a couple of photos:

BFGoodrich AT K/O's - Very long life out of them if rotated properly and often enough.

+1 on these. i have tried others, but i simply cannot recommend any other tire
for daily driving in a jeep. they last forever, they do great in most road snow,
great in rain, and simply rule the dirt. i use them on my rubicon for colorado
offroad, and utah runs. some people like other brands, i swear by these every
time i buy new ones

Ask that question to 100 different people, and you are likely to get so many different choices that you are more confused than you were when you started. I have asked people the same question, then I just got online and looked at different tread patterns to see which ones would clean faster. I also compared tread life. I am not knocking any of the above choices. They are all good tires. It really comes down to personal thoughts. I like the General Grabber A/T2. The tread cleans well, looks good to me, and 60,000 mi tread life. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks boss. DT has a 60k warranty on some of their tires so whatever that gets offered with might be what I buy.

Good year Duratracs! I love mine. better than my old BFG T/A KOs in the rain and off road. quiet and smooth on road, great in the rain- no hydroplaining. awesome in sand- no airing down. lighter than most A/Ts that means better MPGs, and they have an aggressive look to them.

I love the duratracs look and ratings. Other than the thin sidewall they seem amazing.

Forgot this part...$100 off the DT's with a Tread Lightly membership, and I believe there's also $50 off (from DTD) for being a WF member.

And you're right about the thin sidewall. I wouldn't wheel em over rocks, but I've gone over logs and other decent obstacles up in the North Woods and they've been fine.
