Lightbulb need tire help

Im new to jeeps, but have owned other awd vehicles in the past(subaru),I know with subarus if you replaced a tire that they were very sensitive and always recommended replacing at least 2 at a time since it would/could wreek havoc on the awd system, well I need a tire on my 99 sahara and was wondering if I could just replace it with my unused spare(same size but larger overall diameter since it has never been used(unworn tread) or could I replace the 2 front ? I dont want di damage any of the drive train.

thanks

Put the unused spare on the back or replace the front 2.

duh,I never thought of putting the unused spare on the rear,Im programmed to always put the best tires on the front, guess Ill price one new one and match it with the unused spare for the front,I think it would be the safest

thanks

Live and learn. I found out the hard way. I put the new spare on the front and could hardly hold the wheel at times. Balance is the key, but uneven treadwear can create a monster.
