New 285/70R17 KO2s in Load Range C

The BF Goodrich KO2 just recently became available in the 285/70R17 size in Load Range C. Previously Load Range E was the only option.

I've heard rumors this will be the new JL Rubicon OEM tire.

I just got a set installed on my 2013 JK. I have the 10A spring mod, which nets me some lift over stock.

I was really excited when I discovered the 285/70R17 in Load C weighs 50 lbs, versus the 58 lbs of the Load E in the same size. I managed to save 8 lbs per corner. My plan was to find a compromise between the light carcass 45lb P-metric offerings and the 60-70 lb heavy Load E offerings. This BFG is ideal.

I have 3.73s and a 6-speed, so the little Jeep still scoots pretty good. I can't wait to get 'em offroad.

Previously I had Toyo AT2s in P265/75R16, and they took everything I threw at 'em and lasted 50K miles. It took a lot to get me to switch. Time will tell.

how much lift do you think you got over stock. been eyeing those KO2s for my JKU and was thinking the tereflex leveling kit would get me where I want to be height wise.

I like the way your JK sits

According to BFG, they are just under 33" (32.8") so it will be adding about 1/2" over stock. I have been debating between those and the 285/75/17 load e that just came out. Somes in just under 34" and I have a Q-tech leveling kit with stock rims and 1.5" spacers.
