New Jeep owner makes huge mistake, help appreciated

Well I'm sure I'm going to sound retarded but I bout some new wheels and tires for my jeep and realized that a 15 inch rim won't fit on the JK, unfortunately I ordered them online and already had the tires mounted so I can't return any of them. Does anyone have any suggestions? wheels are cragar 342 black D 5x4.5 15x8 and the tires are goodyear wrangler a/t 31x10.5/15. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your shafted in more ways then 1.

The Good news is

Some 15" rims will fit on the JK, just depends on the maker and the model of the rim.

The Bad news.
No rim with a 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern is going to fit on the JK. The JK runs a 5 x 5 bolt pattern.

Hey Scoob,

Thanks for the help. A friend of mine said that the rims would fit as well but when I called to try and exchange the rims they told me that 15 inch wheels won't fit because they rub on the calipers. Do you know of any wheels that would fit because if I can at least keep the tires and just eat the cost of the rims I can deal with that but I'd rather not eat the whole 1300

Don't kow much about the Jk's. But here is a post where they listed some that fit.
I bet a quick post in the JK would get a faster answer though.

you could get adapters to go from the 5x5 bolt pattern to a 5x4.5. they are usually 1.5" thick, that might help. new it'll run you about $130 on ebay

How many did you get? You can look into selling them. I'm curious if you bought these from a tire shop or did you just order them from an online site? Generally they will pop up that an improper selection will not fit your vehicle if you filled in the profile.

I am in the market for some cragars for my Cherokee, depending on your location, I may be able to help you out.

hey inferno girl,

Well I live in Ft. Benning, GA right now. It's kind of far so I don't know how interested you are. I bought 5. I could send you a picture if you still are interested. Did you want just the wheels or the wheels and tires?

You could do this a few ways. You could buy new wheels and have a local retailer swap the tires to them. There are plenty of 15" wheels that do fit the Jk. Bernie's suggestion of the 15x8 -19mm MB 72 is a great one. The MB Chaos 5 also fits like a champ.

If you can return or sell the entire package you might be able to recoup most of your money. The package you bought is perfect for a stock TJ. (yes they will fit a stock TJ without any lift)

If you sell or return them I'd recommend buying a 33" wheel and tire package. 33" tires with the right wheels will bolt up without any issues. Just pick a wheel that is 5x5 bolt pattern (also stated as 5x127) and look for a 5.25 to 4.5" backspace.

PM us if you need more help. We'd be happy to help you get straightened out.

Well guys I am selling my wheels and tires on here if anyone is interested. I will take 250 for the wheel alone or about 1100 for the wheels and tires. Wheels are cragar 342 black d. 15x8 with 5x4.5 bolt pattern. Tires are 31x10.5 15 goodyear wrangler all terrain.

Let me know if you want pictures because I can't figure out how to attach them on this site. Thanks...

Oh, and I am in Ft. Benning, GA by the way.
