new rims haave tire weights in them

I am guessing the tire place forgot to take these off, but there is one line of these on the inside of each of my new rims. I do not think they should stay there. As a matter of fact, a strip of them already fell off and were laying in my garage. Should I take the rest off?

Yes. And have them re-balanced.

They didnt forget them, they are the new type wheel weights. Its how they balanced your tires. If you just got the tires or wheels take it back and have them balance that tire again.

I honestly don't think they balanced them at all or not properly anyways. Those weights were all pretty much in the same place on every rim. They were altogether like they were put there by the factory.

Cheap weight for tire balancing. The reason they are cheap is they fall off as you can see. Either take it back to where you bought it and tell them to use snap on weights or go to a discount tire store and have them balance it.

Discount tire is where I got them. I found the rims I wanted and then found out they could order them. Thinking a store like that would know what they were doing, I got it done there. I'm going to go back and complain tomorrow.

That sucks. The discount tire near me hates those weights. I thought my Cragars needed them because I couldn't but front weights on. The guy at discount tire said that was wrong and balanced for rear weighting only. He said the stick on weights will last until the first good rain storm or really hot day and either fly off, or fall off when I'm parked.

Hopefully they will do it right tomorrow for you.
