New Rims+ tires help?

I am looking to get new Rockstar wheels for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition, and I'm not sure where to start. I want to keep the same size wheels I currently have (stock) and get tires one size larger than stock. I don't know what size the wheels+tires are currently but they are stock. Anyone know where I should start or have recommendations of who to contact? Thank you!

I don't think you're going to find a Rockstar wheel the same size as your stock wheels. I think the Rockstars are 17x9, correct? Considerably wider than your stock set up. I'm not familiar with the Freedom Edition so I don't know what size tires come stock. What size are your tires? What kind of tires are you going to be replacing the existing tires with and for what purpose? AT's, MT's, etc. Add a little more information here and you'll get some help, good luck and welcome to the forum.

I currently have P255x75x17s on my Jeep. I know they offer 17x8 as the wheel size for the rockstars I want which are XD Rockstar Black Machined Wheels product number: XD77578054535 . this is my first time modifying my car wheels and tires, so I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm hoping to order the wheels and tires together as a set. I'm also hoping that the offset of my wheels is in line or very close to inline with my tires, which is why I want my tires one size bigger. Anyone who has advice or thoughts it is much appreciated!

You might try Tirerack.com. They carry Rockstar wheels and sell a lot of different tire brands. I also think discount tire here on the forum gives a discount to forum members so you might look them up in the vendor section. There are several members here on the forum that run Rockstars, have you tried typing Rockstars in the search box yet and see what comes up. 2ndly, those rims come with a lot of offset/backspacing (5.88) so you should be close to stock. The tire calculator shows your 255/75r17s = 32.1H/10.04W. You might look at 275/70r17 = 32.2H/10.83W, 285/70r17 = 32.7H/11.22W. I 'm guessing anything larger and you might be asking for trouble, spacers, lift, etc. I'm no tire expert just trying to point you in the right direction, good luck.

I went on tire rack.com and got the wheels that I wanted (17x8) and I am looking at tire+wheel sets. All the wheels recommended are 245/75R 17 110R. Wouldn't that make my tires a lot smaller? Thank you.

yes. If you want one size bigger you need need 275/70-17's your stock size is 255/75-17 and even going 265/70-17 is going to be a shorter tire. A little wider but shorter. YOur stock rims are 17x7.5. If you want a tire that will visually make a nice difference but not need spacers etc try a 255/80-17 or a KO2 34x10.5-17 both will work well on stock rims.

When you're saying bigger tires, are you talking diameter, width, or both? Also if you want to keep the same size wheel on there and want a bigger width of tire, you may consider getting beadlocks so that the tire stays balanced on the wheel better. The beadlocks do add a certain look to your wheels as well. Consider the type of tire you're going to get if you're buying a new one anyways. All terrain, mud, street, etc.

Thank you all who helped.
For now I have ordered the new rockstar rims I wanted (17x8: same height .5 wider width) and I'm going to keep my stock tires. In the future I might change them, but for now I think they will look good with the new wheels. If anyone has some more advice for me seeing as I'm such a newbie to modifying my Jeep, please don't hesitate to contact me
I'll post pictures of the new wheels when I get them on (Dec 28th I think)

The holiday backlog moved my delivery date back to January 4th, I will post asap. Also, getting new tires in a month or so, will post pictures of that too.
