New Tires

I hate the stock mud terrain tires in wet and snow, which is coming soon.

I have narrowed the replacement to the following:

Tire Size Height Width Wheel Weight Cost
Stock LT255/75/17 32 10 17 47 -
WildPeak LT285/75/17 33.8 11.2 17 66 $660
WildPeak P285/70/17 32.8 11.3 17 50 $600
ST MAXX LT255/80/17 32.8 10.2 17 58 $644
ST MAXX LT285/75/17 34 11.1 17 65 $1,100

I am 90% on-road stock height for now. Looking at 2.5 AEV lift after tires.

Weight is a concern. I prefer the pizza cutter look.

Experts please help!

If you like the pizza cutter look then going up to a 285 width is kind of backwards?

I am looking at tires 33-34" tall by 10.5-11" wide. Do you have a better suggestion?

BFG is coming out with a KO2 in 285/75/17. If you are planning on staying on stock rims, 285 is the widest that the tire manufacturers recommend. You will need some kind of lift before you go to 285's. The 255/80/17's will fit with no lift.

Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W are a wonderful tire choice. Had them on my Colorado 4x4 diesel, balanced out perfect rode great and what a deal! Still I like BFGs A/T KO2 tread design. But at about twice the price

From your list: 255/80/17 any brand or BFG 34/10.50/17.

I have 255/85/16 ST Maxx on my JKU and they did great during last years record winter, I'm an hour from Lake Tahoe.
