New tires

I just put new tires on my tj (31x10.50) and im thinking it threw my speedometer off a lil. Has anybody else had this problem? If so how many mph was it off?

yes. and it isnt a number it grows with speed. so like it will be close until you hit around 35 or 40. mines really bad, and you sholdnt go by it haha

Not enough to matter.
But if you are really worried try this Checking Your Speedometer After Changing Tire Sizes

Well it isnt one number added to it but it is a single number multiplied by the speedo is what I think you are getting at.
Mine is off by 110% or 1.1 X Speedo reading

I figured with my 31's I'm off by about 9%, using odometer vs gps for an entire tank of gas. Easy math tells me that:

speedo says = actual speed
  • 50 = 55
  • 40 = 44
  • 30 = 33
  • 20 = 22... etc.

Its not perfect, and that link will help you better. But you can either guesstimate it like that, or replace some little gears on the older TJs. The newer ones I think can be reprogrammed, but to me it seems like its more hassle than its worth.
