Odometer and Tire size question

My TJ's door jam shows a 205/75R15 as the original tire size. I believe my Sport model came with 30x9.50R15s with the factory 15x8" wheels. Do you guys think the odometer/tripometer was calibrated at the 205 size tire or the 30" tire?

The reason I ask is because I was curious what my actual fuel economy is with the 31x10.50R15 tire I have on now. I'm calculating 12-14 as my average fuel economy. After doing the math, I'm actually traveling (approximately due to rounding) 1.15 miles farther than my tripometer indicates. Which means I'm getting approximately 1.7 mpg better than what is originally calculated.
