Painting Rims?

Hello, I have a couple of questions, I'm thinking of having my rims painted? Thoughts on it? Also what do I need to get my tires to extend out more? What do I ask the garage for? I just ordered new tires..255/75/17.. Maybe someone could give me some ideas of what would look good, Thanks..

Powder coat will hold up much better than paint.

Decreasing your back space with either new wheels or spacers will move your tires out farther.
