Semi stock set up, 30 inch on OEM wheels?

Hey all, would like some feedback on my Jeep. I have a 1997 TJ Sport with the I6, auto trans and 120K on it. I'm getting some stock alloys for her next weekend and I need tires. I really like the look of the Jeep Quadratech has as a budget build with a two inch lift (page 175 in the Spring catalog). My Jeep is my only vehicle so big lifts and tires are not for me right now. When I had my '02 with the manual I6, I bought some steel wagon wheels and BFG 31" tires and it was a dog. so here is my question / set up.

Run BFG A/T 30" tires on the stock alloy rims and eventually get a Skyjacker 2 inch spacer lift with hydro shocks.

The goal is still a factory ride, I do a lot of highway driving unfortunately, but still have some capability on mild to medium off road such as logging trails and trails.

Going back a few years, but wifes 97 auto 4.0L on 30's as well. Power was fine. No lift. I think it had 3.07's.

4Jeepn, thanks, that is exactly what I'm going for, same wheels and everything. I'm saving the big lift and tires later.

My Tj had the SkyJacker 2" BB installed for years. You don't need a lift for 31's. I planned on 32's with the 2" but never upgraded considering my 3:07 gearing.
