So lost, jku with mopar 2in lift

Wheels and tires are just not my thing, I don't have a clue. Need a little help to determine what I can and can't do.

I was looking to fit a 275 70 18 on factory 7 spoke wheels? Curious as to what you guys think would be the max tire size on these stock wheels and the mopar 2in lift. Remember the mopar lift is 3 inches in front.

My goal is to keep the tires inside the fenders. I don't want the jeep to be any wider. And AT tires that would have a decent ride.

Here’s 295/70r17 on stock wheels with a 2.5” lift.

I have the same setup- JKU with Mopar lift. I had 285/70r17 and found it to look odd; too small of tire. I just upgraded to 285/75r17 and think the height of the tire looks perfect with the lift.

The equivalent in a 18 inch rim would be 285/70/r18. There are not many choices in that size unfortunately.

I wanted to keep my wheels but I may have to swap.

285/70-18 are taller than most 35's and taller than 285/75-17's.

Any idea if a 295/70/r18 would fit without spacers? Alot more choices in that size

Any thoughts on P-metric tires? Nitto makes the terra grappler g2 in a 295/70/r18 P metric.

They are really taller than I wanted though.

I have 265/70/r18 on there now.

So after much deliberation and confusion, I ended up with the 275/70/18. Went with BF Goodrich KO2. Everything worked out like I wanted. Wish the 2" mopar lift was about 1/2 inch lower in front and it would be perfect.

Maybe a big steel bumper will bring it down a bit.

I have a teraflex gate hinge with the stock tire carrier. I had to put in 2 washers as spacers under the spare so it wouldn't touch the bumper. Its was barely touching without them.

You could always put in 2.5" rear springs....
