ST Maxx 285/75-17 vs 315/70-17



both new and on same rim ie 17x8.5. Amazing how close they are.

Yeah I parked next to a guy with 35x12.50 KOs and my 285/75-17 KO2s looked about the same height. I put a tape measure on them to see and his 35s were actually about 0.5" taller, so figure about 0.25" of additional ground clearance.

Not a big difference at all.

It looks as if the 285 (on the left?) is shorter? The Nitto (285 32.5") vs Milestar (315 34") was remarkably shorter at 30psi mounted to the same wheels.

Great looking tire there!
