It depends on the back spacing of the rims. If they are 15x8 then they probly are not factory wheels! I have an 05 TJ with 15x7 rims and 31x10.50 tires and they rub at full lock sitting on flat ground and it's lifted 2in.

No, they will rub in the back on the spring perches. For the price of spacers you can get steel wheels with appropriate bs. 4.5" or less is needed to run 12.5" tires on a TJ.

If you buy spacers you'll need 1.5"

12.5 wide tire will not fit with on a Canyon rim which have a backspace of 5.5 inches.
Either get some of the good spacers (like spidertrax) or a set of replacement alloy wheels with a backspace of 4.5" or less.

If you are buying new wheels/tires. go with alloys. for a handfull more you can get an aluminum wheel that weighs less and wont bend like steel will. I know soft 8's are cheap, but a lot of companies dont include center caps or shipping in their 50.00 a wheel price plus they are heavy sob's that will kill mileage and braking time if you care about such things.

actually aluminum is a much softer metal than steel and would bend way sooner under the came conditions.
