tire and wheel selection - would like input...

After much research I think I've selected my tires and wheels, but would love feedback from folks to make sure I haven't missed anything.

My objective was to get a wider tire with a more aggressive tread without a lift kit or other alterations.

I have a stock 2014 Wrangler Unlimited.

Tire: Toyo Open Country M/T LT315/75R16
Wheel: Wheel Vintiques Series 12 16x8 5x5 bolt pattern with a 4" backspace

I went with the 16" tire and wheel to match decently close to the stock size.
I wanted and old school wheel, so went with a smoothie. I'm adding 2" to the width of the tire, but reducing the backspace from 6" to 4", so I'm thinking I should be good.

Does anyone see any issues with this match?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's considered a 35" tire and will sit at 34" when on the Jeep under load. A 33" tire runs tight without a lift on the JK/U and will rub the fenders off road especially when disconnected so a 35 will need a lift or at least a leveling kit and trimmed or flat fenders otherwise you're going to have problems.

I run 305/70/16 (33's) with a Teraflex leveling kit (2" front and 1" rear) and still come close to rubbing my fenders while off road.

You really should get a wide range of tires and test them, You will have a better outcome then picking something that you think will work. I spent many hours in the RIT cars when we were selecting tires, do your best to mimic the conditions you will run into.
