tire and wheel size

What is the largest tire that can be put on a Wrangler (2011) without lifting? I have been told by the dealer, in my town, (saw his jeep) that a 33X12.50x17 will fit with no rubbing, with the right back spacing on the wheel. He does not recommend spacers. His jeep, with this size rubber, looked great. He told me on an off road, no rubbing what so ever. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Regards Mark.

The dealer is only half right. 33's are ok with no lift and street use but offroad they will rub. A 32 is max I recommend on a stock suspension for street and offroad use.

Now 33's can be run without rubbing with a stock suspension if u do body modifications like cutting the fenders.

largest tire size

I looked at this guys jeep(he works for dealership service mgr)and he off roads all the time. He said he has no rubs anywhere with the 33X12.50 x 17 size tire with the correct backspacing. His jeep was a 4 door model. He did cut the edges off a protection front plate though. His jeep had no lift, period. I am just checking to see what other people are doing and think.
Thanks.
Mark.
