tire,rims

Hi all, I have had my 2005 tj rubicon 5 day's now and would like advice it has a 2" lift on it at this time ( the dealer says) stock rims and tires 245 75 16 I want to keep this set up to drive on road Then when its time to hit the trails ,have a second set of 15X8"s with true mud tires. I will have the TJ on a trailer and pull it to the trails. I have search around the forums and just can't find the best size tire and backspace to go with. I will install disco's also.I don't want any rubbing of tires on any thing. what do yall think and of course it still has stock rubicon gearing.THANKS

I went down to a 15X8 when I lifted mine, I run 33X12.50X15 BFG KM2 mud terrains with no rubbing when I turn. I went ION 174 series wheels, they are 3.5" on the backspacing. Only cost $350 for all 5 shipped to the door from JcWhitney after on line coupon I found.

Thanks, I was basically giving you an idea on the wheels, I should have said that I'm running a 4" lift on mine! I think you would only be able to go with 32's. I have made mine rub my fender flares before and I wasn't disconnected.

Not sure about any removable flares, but JKS for the dis-connects.
