tire size?

i have a 99 jeep wrangler sport 4.0 i6. it has a two inch lift I believe. Dana 30 front and 35 rear. what is the maxium size tore I can run and still handle good on road. just a little weekend mudding. currently has 31x10.5x15 in bfg a/t. new to site and jk! thanks

On your TJ's D35, 33 open is it. And that might even be pushing it.

I'd stick with 31" tires with a 2" lift, so you still have some reasonable degree of flex left. You can shove 33" tires in there, but at the expense of articulation and at the expense of your rear axle living a short life.

True. While 33x10.5 inch rims work on stock rims, 33x12.5 won't.. Just a little mud on the weekend. I do like the thought user has. Once you go to 33's then other things need to be considered and all that adds up.
