Tires no lift?

Hey all, I'm new this will be my first thread! I recently as of sept purchased my 4 door unlimited rubicon and was wondering if in the following order put 33' tires on then wait a few months and lift 2.5'. I was t sure if the 17' rims that came stock with the vehicle would support 33' tires, would I need to modify prior to the lift being applied? I can only do one or the other. Also would it be wise to lift first since tires only 5k on them? Thanx

You can fit 33s on your stock wheels fine. Depending on how wide of a tire you go with, you may need wheel spacers.
