Urgent Help!

Hey guys! I drive a 2015 JKU, so I run a 5x5 lug. I'm about to buy someone's wheels off a TJ (I believe) that is 5x4.5. I understand I'll need adapters, but his backspacing is 3.75. Will this be enough to run properly on my Jeep? The tires are 295/70r17.

3.75" is already pretty low BS, by the time you add another 1.25"-1.5" for the adapter then you will be super low. IMO you should hold off for the right wheels.

This thread LINK talks about backspace. Basically the less backspace (BS) you have the farther out from the Jeep the tires/wheels will stick. The farther out they stick the more components will wear out.
For a 12.5" wide tire you should shoot for around 4.5" BS, up to 5" will usually be OK. So IMO 4.75" is correct for your application, BUT adding 5x4.5 to 5x5 adapters and reducing it to 3.5" is still too low BS. IMO

So my opinion stands, you would be better served finding the right wheel for your Jeep, not trying to make the wrong one work.

They still will stick out pretty far with spacer adapters you will essentially have 3.25" back spacing. Some like that look but your tires will stick out way past your fenders
