What are (5) GFGoodrich Mud Terrains worth?

I purchase a 2017 Rubicon Recon in late summer and have decided to install wheel spacers and run a slightly larger tire on the stock wheels. Wheel spacers were installed this past weekend (thread with pics) and I'm ordering tires today.

I'm going to order 285/75R17's and will be selling the factory installed BFGoodrich Mud Terrains 255/75R17's. Four tires have 4,5xx miles and the spare has never been taken off (new). They've never had a flat or any issues, simply want larger tires.

What's a good asking price? I've seen them ranging in the $400's (really worn) to $800 (almost new) on the web. Can't tell if any were sold, and if so, the final price.

I'll add pics of the four on the JKURR after the next wash (or after being replaced).

Going from that I'd list them for $700-750 and see how fast they sell? You can always lower the price later if need be...

Depends on how fast you want to move them. If you want them out of your garage list them for $500 and be done with it

I’ve sold the lowest end jk sport wheels with more or less brand new tires for $300 and Sahara rims and tires with 20% tread left for $150 because I wanted them gone. In the end, no matter how new, they’re still used. My rule of thumb on used parts I buy for myself is it starts at at 30% off new even if they didn’t do anything but open the box. If the item was ever installed on the Jeep, I won’t consider paying more than 50% of the new price. That’s just me though.

For tires only I think $500 would be reasonable. A lot of people who buy the Rubicon take-offs are also wanting to upgrade their wheels, which you are not including.

Very true. I paid $600 for a set of Hard Rock rims and KM tires with only 1600 miles on them. I even sold my sport rims and tires for $200.

I think $500 is about right and they should move quick.

Yep, I'll list for $500. Unfortunately there's another local sale on Craigslist for the same tire at $500. I messaged the seller, he's been trying for months to get rid of them. If I wait too long and add more miles, I might as well keep the stock tires and ride it out. Decisions, decisions

To me at most half the cost of whatever they cost new would be the max I would pay or expect to get out of them.

If new they go for $200 x 5 = $1,000

I would think $500 would be on the high side for their value

If you really want to sell them quickly, post them for 40% of new value. Most guys will look at stuff priced at 50% and try to talk you down from there. At 40%, most will just bring you the money.

I paid 900 for 5 brand new KO2's on stock alloy wheels. They were brand new takeoffs and I felt that was a good price as the tires alone would have been around 1,100. There were a few other people waiting on me to back out when I picked them up. I would think you could get more then 500 for those but I guess like everything else it is regional. If there are not a ton of keepers close by they might sit. I listed my steel 16 inch wheels and tires for 350.00 and had two people contact me day one offering that price without trying to bargain. Looking back I could have gotten 400 or more out of them.
I would start at 700 and work from there.
