This is for a 2015 JKU Rubicon. What brands of wheels that are forged aluminum are made here is the USA?

Size will be 17x9 4.75 backspace.

reguardless of country of origin what brands are considered to be of the better made wheels?

I know black rock wheels are made in USA. Think some of pro comps and some of fuels are too. Really not a great deal to pick from when it comes to American made wheels.

Generally the expensive wheels will be home grown. AEV used to make their wheels in the USA but they could not compete with the off shore manufacturing so AEV wheels are now made off shore.

It is great to support USA jobs but when the government refuses to put tariffs on products made by labor paid $2/hour it puts the local manufacturers in bankruptcy.

For the last 2 years I've owned my Jeep I've been searching for USA made aftermarket wheels.

I've gone out of my way to only mod with USA made accessories but it's hard, particularly with wheels, tires, and for some reason... taillights.

Black rock wheels are made in the states but they're not really that good looking, I want something a little bit more modern considering I have a relatively new Jeep.

Love the AEV Savegre (nice clean looking wheel, easy to clean) but they are made overseas, and we know why... I'm not knocking AEV but it does suck.

Where are the OEM wheels made?

I guess this is the proper place to post, rather than starting a new thread. Are the JK and JKU OEM wheels made in the US or are they China imports? Thanks.

Besides the Black Rock wheels...not too excited with there looks....the USA wheels I have found mostly are Beadlocks and run $400+ a wheel. I was more in the $250-300ish a wheel price range at most.

So far nothing.... bummer!

Where the wheel is made shouldn't matter. Buy a quality, brand name.

It does matter...I don't like to buy from and support the Chinese...as a lot of people are this way.

what did you end up doing? I am on the same boat - trying as much as possible to support jobs here in the US. I understand the challenge manufacturers face when consumers vote with their wallet and prefer cheaper products - hard to beat lower wages and lower taxes! I found American Eagle 023 as a good wheel with good reviews, BS just a tad short with only 4.75. did you find something good with 4.5?

Sad to say I ended up with Chinese made wheels. Every aluminum wheels under $300 I could find, Fuel, Method, Black Rock, American Racing and so forth are Chinese wheels. Even my stock Rubicon wheels are Chinese!!!

The only American Made wheels I could find where around 4 manufactures of Beadlock wheels. I don't want to mess with beadlock right now and they are illegal on the street except for the Hutchinson deadlocks...around $475 a wheel.

I bought the Discount Tires Mb Wheels MB11 Mesh. They come with a removable rock ring. They are also hub centric too.

Next year after I get more into this I will look around at other wheel and see what I can find

Thank god for globalization, free trade, deregulation lifting the third world to our status and sliding us back into the stone age.

Corporations love paying third world wages and charging first world retail.

Do you realize it costs more to ship a container 100 miles inland than to "ship" it from Asia to North America on a container ship?

As I replied to your original post, American Eagle has lots of aluminum wheels Made In USA and under $300. Made in USA is why I bought them.
