What's an optional tire size for a stock 09 Unlimited Rubicon?

Just got my 09 Rubicon Unlimited with the stock 255 75 17 BFG Mud tires.

I am learning that this is not a common tire size.

Is anyone running 265 70 17s or 285 70 17s on their stock Unlimited Rubicons?

I'm not happy with the BFG Mud Terrain on wet and icy roads, which we have a lot of in Ohio. Looking for an all terrain with more siping in the tread.

An all terrain tire that has excellent snow and rain rating would be the Duratracs. You should be able to find several examples of unlimiteds running them, especially the 285/70, which is close to a 33".

I had Kelly Safari TSR's on my TJ and loved them. I understand that it was very similar to the Duratrac.

I'm trying to make sure I don't have rubbing issues. I was very well versed in tire sizes for TJs. Not up to speed on the JK 17 inch sizes yet.

Seems like I've been posting this link a lot recently. . This is a thread over at JK-F dedicated to 33s with no lift. There are lots of pics and also quite a bit of discussion regarding rubbing and whatnot. Should give you some good info.
