Whats' the cheapest you'd go in selling used tires?

I've had little luck over this last week trying to unload my 2007 JKX wheels and tires. Thought I priced it right and finally, I just went with reasonable offer. Today I got two offers from Craigslist. One for $200, one for $240 for just the tires, no wheels (which lets face it, aren't going to fetch me much as standalones). While I fully understand that I won't get near the price these are new, but this seems very low. Then again, if that's the market, then I guess it is what it is. My question is basically this, what's the lowest you'd got to get a sale done if you owned the stuff I have listed below? Its not like I have to sell it quickly but if I am going to wind up trying for months only to wind up at the same lousy price, I might as well just take the hit now. Thanks all!

(5) Tires: 4 are Cooper Discoverer ATRs with exactly 1,065 miles on them. The fifth is a Goodyear Wrangler SR-A with exactly zero miles on it.

(5) 16" 5x5 factory alloy wheels.

I was in the same boat you are when I got my new tires/rims, except mine were virtually brand new. I read about folks here on the forum selling theirs (5 tires/wheels) for $1,000. But some of them took a long time to do it.

The day I got my new tires put on I drove my stockers (400 miles, '12 JKU Sahara) to the dealership. They bought em for $500, and kept apologizing for not offering me more.

I was happy to be rid of them, and not have to store em in my garage and dick around with fool after fool on Craigslist.

But that's just me.

Solid advice. I did call the local dealer and the parts manager informed me that they were already overstocked so no go. I'm thinking I may jut hang onto them unless I can get something reasonable. I'd sell for 500 in a heartbeat but at 250, I just feel like I have an appt with Dr. jellyfingers sans the jelly!

What the tires and wheels are worth come down to what the market will bear. What you are willing to pay vs what the seller is willing to except.

$75 per wheel and tire is about where I'd feel comfortable.
