Wheel swap from 05 to 02?

So a buddy of mine buys a 2005 Jeep wrangler X Rocky mountain edition. Next day trasfer case fails. Two days later, gets jeep back and decides to take it for a spin on the beach... Totals it trying to cross a "Stream" which just happened to be 6 feet of water!

My question? Is the bolt pattern from the 05 the same as my 02?

Yes unless he has aftermarket axles or wheel spacers that changed the pattern. Which I highly doubt. I would also consider finding smarter friends.

The wheels should have the same bolt pattern (5 on 4.5) if there has been no changes.

You might want to find a new friend. This guy is cursed! At least... don't follow him in the back country.
