Where do you buy your tires? Local or online?

I need to get 4 wrangler mtr with Kevlar 35x12.5r15 to replace the ones currently on myJeep. This is my first time buying them and am at a loss as to what is the best method? I found some online but later they told me they were back ordered until Jan 30 which would not work for me. I live in Northern Colorado and don't really have any Jeep shops to go inquire close by. Where do you recommend purchasing them? Thanks in advance!

I love to support local business, but at the same time if you can 1. buy them cheaper online than local and 2. not have to pay sales tax for an online purchase, those 2 things can make a big difference on a $1,000 transaction. I have purchased tires from tirerack.com, discounttire.com and rimzoneonline.com.

I used to almost exclusively buy online but my father-in-law recommended a local place. Their prices out-the-door were the same if not better than online and they can get almost any tire within 48hrs.

This place has pretty low overhead cost and they give that to the customer in low prices.
They actually don't have lifts (they use high lift hydraulic jacks) so their insurance is lower for their employees and they own the building so no mortgage.

Sam's club. Picked what tires I wanted, that they could order, and had them delivered the next day.

No discount tires or anything like that local.

I went tirerack.com after checking locally a lot. I live in a small town close to a decent sized city. Decent sized city turned out to want too much at every shop. I was disappointed to say the least. Rims and tires delivered to my door (including delivery) was about $300 cheaper. Tirerack.com did a great job. That made my decision. Good luck.

I bought from the local Discount tire. Oddly, their prices were cheaper on both wheels and tires than Discount Tire Direct (online). Had that not been the case, I probably would have ordered and installed them myself.

Happy with the results tho
