White letters out on duratracs

I ordered my new duratracs yesterday and the guy selling them told me " you know those have white letters". I said the other side is black and he told me you're supposed to run those with the white letters out. Anyone know why?

when I was in the tire business many decades ago, the mfgs did that as a marketing enhancement ploy

some like white letters, some don't

your tire your choice

Since they're not a directional tire you can have them mounted either way. I prefer black out.

So it doesn't matter if they are on or out?

Nope. You can mount them whichever way you want.
Look at my profile pics. Those are DURATRAC's black out.

mine (Duratracs) are white letters out, only because my jeep is white. Yeah, you are free to mount them however you wish. The only time you cannot is like mentioned on a directional tire like the goodyear triple treads that only run one way to channel water correctly.

This is why I went with the Duratracs instead of the Kevlars. I was told that the Kevlars are directional and the Duras were not. Now i'm running the Duras black out and LOVE the look. Didn't think they would look as aggressive as they do.
