Yet another wheel Fitment!!

I talked to two different people at DT today about wheels..I like the MB Chaos, 16X8.5. They are available in 18mm or a -6mm offset I got conflicting info and am not sure which one to order. When I asked for the BP measurement in inches couldn't seem to get that, I want my wheels and tires at the edge of my fenders so which one of these do I want?

Go with the -6. Definitely. Depending on how wide your tire is, it will stick out a bit from the fender, but not much. Again, depending on your tire selection, the 18mm wheel could cause some contact with your rear sway bar end links, front air dam, etc.

Here is a link to Sunny's ride with 285/75/16 tires on wheels with the same backspacing as the -6mm. This will show you how much they will protrude from the fender.

The backspacing on the -6 offset version would be 4.5"

The backspacing on the 18 offset version would be 5.5".

Here is how to calculate backspacing from offset.
((Rim width + 1) / 2) + (offset * .03937)

-6mm wheel
((8.5+1)/2)+(-6*0.03937) = 4.51378"

18mm wheel
((8.5+1)/2)+(18*0.03937) = 5.45866"
