YJ Wheel/Tire Questions

Just joined and have a few questions around the wheel setup on my YJ. Sorry for the dumb questions

My 95 YJ has a 31" setup with 15" wheels. I really like the look of TJ / JK Rubicon wheels.

My question is what is the advantage/disadvantage of going with either a TJ or JK setup other than requiring hub adapters for JK wheels?

The stock tire setup on JK gives me what type of height? 31inch or less? I can never figure out how to come up with that.

I do have a 3" bodylift on my YJ.

Thanks so much fellas!

best bang for the buck is a set of 15x8 canyons( I just picked up a set for 80.00) or ravines from a TJ. if you are springing for adapters I would just as soon save for a set of rims with a 4" BS and push the wheels out further so later on you can go to a taller/wider tire.

x2 on the canyons. I found mine in the "for sale" section on this forum, and they come up on craigslist from time to time. I too have 31's and the canyons replaced the stock steelies. The overall look of the jeep has improved 100% . I have a thread on this on the yj section of the forum. Check out my avatar to see what the canyons look like on a yj.

I can hardly see that tiny little thing! That's what she said.

All kidding aside... got a bigger pic? I said pic. So much for all kidding aside. I can never resist a joke op.

That's a good pic. Nice lookin' Jeep. I have 31's on Grizzlies, but I need new ones and want to go with a wider wheel to balloon them out, even though I love the look of Grizzlies. Here's a tiny pic of it. I'll get better ones soon. Thanks for sharing btw. How do you power the lights, if you don't mind me asking?

I used a power inverter for the lights. Plugs into the cigarette lighter.
