2.5 Inch Coil Lift

Hi all,

I am running completly stock suspension on a 2013 Wrangler Rubicon 10A. I am making room for 35 inch tires and was recommended a 2.5 inch coil lift.

I have a quick "noob" question. Is this lift basically switching out the stock coils for a taller set of new ones?

Now, is this the way to go?

I will be wheeling, maybe once or twice a month.

This is my daily driver and I need bearable suspension for on-road use.

If you could please voice your opinion/testimonial on coil lifts that would be great.

Also I still want to run my stock wheels, so what size wheel spacers would I need?

It's changing out the coils, bumpstops and rear sway bar links (rears replaced, then rears moved to front, at least on a TeraFlex 2.5" coil lift). Typically most people change their shocks to longer ones to run with the lift, but you can just get extensions for your OEM shocks. Since you got the upgraded shocks with the 10A, you might be happy with staying stock. For us, we definitely wanted an upgrade so we went with the Rancho 9000xls on both our jeeps.

While you're un bolting and retorquing everything, it's the perfect time to replace your stock bolts with something like the Northridge or Synergy bolt kits.

I don't claim to be a wheel/tire expert, but I believe you'd need 1.5" spacers, but you MUST confirm this with someone who KNOWS what they are talking about.

I needed the 1.5" spacers for my 2.5 TF Coil Lift. He probably will to since he has the same wheels.
