2.5 inch lift and 33"s

I'm thinking of getting a 2.5 teraflex lift by thanksgiving but I'm currently running 33 inch tires. Does anyone have this set up that can post pics. I'm worried about how much gap I would have in between the fender and top of tire.

The Teraflex JK 2.5" will look fine. It will probably settle to 2" or so depending on any extra weight.

I only have pics of the 2.5" Teraflex JKU lift that I put on my 2 door. They come with stiffer springs which provide more lift to a lighter 2 door.

I have that exact set up. Teraflex 2.5" coil lift with 33's (285/70R17 BFG KO2 rubber). Just had it installed last week. I also have the Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP shocks. I decided to go with 33's as this is 95% my daily driver. I'm very happy with how it came out and was the look I was going for.

Here's another angle on my driveway. This is the day after I had the lift installed with newly tinted front windows

Thanks for sharing guys. Husker, I also have a two door with a 105 pound front bumper (no winch yet) and a 80 pound rear bumper. I would love to see how yours came out. That way I know what my "max" space would be given I do have some added weight.

This is my jk with aev 2.5 lift that ended up been 3 ¼ lift! Very happy with results and I will repeat same build on my 2016 rubi hr next week.

I posted a detailed review and before & after measurements, search for it here at wf.

Thats the great thing about a TF 2.5 lift.33s look good and 35s will fit later if you decide to go bigger.

This is with 35's keep in mind. After install i had about 6 1/2" between tire and fender. It's settled a bit and I havent measured it recently. My back end settled the most probably because I camp a lot and have heavy loads in it. I'm looking into air bags for the rear.

Yep! Main reason I went with it. 33's now and quite possibly 35's when rubber needs replaced.

Great thread, I'm also adding the Teraflex 2.5 inch lift by Thanksgiving. I currently have 33's and looking forward to seeing how it looks in person. Thanks for the pics.

I love that they have that Jeep look. They look very utilitarian vs. some of the newer designs. Love them.

Exactly my thinking when I was looking for wheels. Wanted something that complimented the look I was going for and not seen on every other Jeep out there. These "spoke" to me and as much as I tried to find something else I kept going back to them. Glad I didn't buckle to the trends!

I currently have 33's on mine and am thinking of a 2 or 2.5 lift, so this is really helping me as well. Just out of curiosity, does anyone have the before and after pics to show the difference?

This is the before (stock)

This is an After (with 2.5" AEV lift and 295/70/17 tires)

Another After pic

I should point out that the "After" includes the addition of steel front & rear bumpers, so the lift is not quite as high as it would be with stock bumpers.

Hope this helps.
