2008 OEM Radio in 2007?

I'm a proud first time Jeep owner and recently purchased 2007 Wrangler Unlimited. Recent rain storm took out the touch screen on my aftermarket radio. I found a 2008 OEM radio on CraigsList, will that connect to my factory harness? What functionality (if any) was new to the 2008 that wont work in my 2007?
I appreciate all the help! Thanks guys!

Do both radios show the same model #? Do they both have the same options? Does the seller have the anti-theft code for the radio he is selling?

Including a photo of your existing radio and a link to the listing may clear some things up.

^^ this vendor sells a variety of OEM radios used in Jeeps, broken down by model year and other options, may be a good resource to see what you have and whether it is the same as what is listed by the seller on craigslist

Thank you for that.
That was the answer I was hoping for.
Found an 08 on Craigslist for $75, hoping it is plug-n-play.

Thanks

What about the anti-theft functionality? Will I need a "code" of some kind in order for the 08 to operate in my 07? Does this code live with the radio? If so, then the previous owner should know what this is 9hopefully). Otherwise, the radio is a brick. Without the code, it wont work, correct?

The 08 radio does not have a anti theft code.
